Why is LivU only available for people over 18? Follow
This is a topic that we feel very passionate about and we're glad you're reading this so you can understand our perspective.
To comply with Data Protection laws and to protect, in general, the best interest of the children (minors), our team has decided to deny access to our apps to minors (under 18 years old).
All users are verified proactively and if minors are identified by our internal systems or are reported by other users, they are banned from the platform.
Why is this so important? Shouldn't minors be allowed to make new connections, too?
We completely agree that minors have the need to connect just as much as adults do. Sometimes even more, as childhood is a complicated stage of your life. However, from a data privacy perspective, the world is not as straight forward as it might seem.
In order to protect minors, our most vulnerable members of society, we decided that everyone who is using our app must be 18 years or older.
